In recent years, Glenn Grafelman has manifested a style and psychology that distinguish his paintings in a highly personal way. Inspired by the intangible energy of spiritual transcendence and the afterlife, this latest body of work incorporates concrete geometry with ethereal layers of unstructured color. In all their abstract beauty and mysterious references, these paintings uniquely define the presence of physical matter and the spirit which share common space in art and life.
Glenn Grafelman is a graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, University of California, Berkeley, and the School of Visual Arts, NYC. He has exhibited his work extensively throughout the U.S. including the Bronx Museum for the Arts, The Drawing Center, and White Columns in New York. His work is included in numerous collections among them Target Corporation and General Mills.
