Facilities Report

The Thomas Barry Fine Arts (TBFA) storage facility is located at 900 6th Avenue S.E. Minneapolis, Minnesota. The area is a mix of historic buildings, homes, light industry, new construction and renovation. Built in the 1950s, the 900 Building is predominantly brick with steel support construction. It recently was renovated and updated. The building is sprinkled throughout with central station fire alarms and public entrance electronic security (access card).

The 3700 square foot TBFA storage space is enclosed with fire-rated sheetrock, both interior and exterior, with insulation between. There are two entrances to the space, a single door and a double door, and no windows or other portals. Both doors are alarmed with a central station, cellular uplink system. Additionally, an interior motion detector connected to the central system secures the double door. The space has a newly installed, rooftop, natural gas heating and cooling unit with duct distribution. Also installed are two Aprilaire 1120 humidifiers to facilitate complete climate control throughout the storage space.
